Since the birth of our first kid back in February 2018, my hobby stuff has dwindled to zero!

;(

As a grandparent now, all I can say is ENJOY - it passes too fast. It is tiring and grueling and frustrating but still the best thing to happen to me. I miss it.

We're nearly 11 months in and it's going fast. Lots of challenges and yes, it is a joy.

Back to gaming!

Congrats!

As for myself, I got a large workload until the weekend, but then I will have time to work on my projects (especially Sword of Cepheus).

Finally had the time (and headspace) to write a bit more of the next Squaddies scenario. This one seems to have lots of tables in it. I may be getting too fond of putting in a table instead of lots of paragraphs of descriptive stuff. :-)

Yesterday I finished a draft of a new introduction to my homebrew SF RPG setting, Flat Black. It's under 9,000 words — fourteen pages of 12-point Times.

I'm inordinately pleased, since this is the first undertaking I have been able to finish for a couple of years.

Messing around with a mashup system/world generator, incorporating elements from a few different sources. It's all gonna be zeerust in a few minutes, but fun for now.

Since a lot of exoplanets are described in terms of mass, I roll to determine mass and then density, which provides for everything else pretty easily. Then I can plug exoplanets in and fill out the rest of the system.

Done some pre-gen characters for a game of Summerland I'm thinking of running at a con.

Yeah, sure. The link in my signature leads to this download site: http://flatblack.wikidot.com/on-line-texts#toc0.
